The reading batch had filed this frame as not-a-grave under a local no-name policy; the frame is a real grave. | legibility=poor | reader's description: EL JADIDA POLICY: a real grave, NO WORD DEFENSIBLE, NOT MINTED - and the clearest lesson in the batch about ZOOM. THIS STONE: a tapering anthropomorphic stele of pale tan limestone, only thinly limewashed so the stone's own colour shows through, lying flat on sandy gravel and shot from the head at a slight angle. It is the best-cut example of the cartouche-over-lamp type in either half of the batch: a ruled outer border, an oval frame, a rectangular CARTOUCHE holding THREE relief glyphs, a large and beautifully proportioned LAMP device below it (bowl, waist, splayed foot), then a first registe
