The stone carves תשעה ימים לחודש טבת שנת ... 5701 - nine days of the month of TEVET - and both independent readings of this photograph agree on טבת. 9 Tevet 5701 = 08/01/1941, checked with app/helpers/hebrew_date_utils.hebrew_date_to_gregorian. Georges Sebat's index card says '09 Shevat 5701 / 06/02/1941', which is one month late; 9 Shevat 5701 does convert to his 06/02/1941, so his day is right and his month is wrong. The record already held the Hebrew date and the age 70 (מלאו ימיו ושנתו לשבעים שנים) but no civil date at all.
